„1993“ is based on the text „O ano de 1993“ (The year 1993) from the portuguese author José Saramago, consisting in 30 short apparently not connected chapters. The text deals with a horde of people who have been expulsed oft he cities, strolling around in the landscape with the intent to reconquer their urban space.

The abandoned ground of an old tile-factory turns into the stage fort negotiating the concepts of power, war, surveillance, nature and digital-technocratic world.
